Hello August

IMG_9389.JPGI happened to be in Williamsburg, Brooklyn at the popular restaurant SEA Thai due to a volunteer venture on Sunday night, so missing out on a curry puff was inevitable. Besides the curry puff that I consumed on Sunday night, I’m currently having a mostly vegetable meal week. As for my determined anti-back fat campaign and in preparation for the wedding in December, I’ve been working out as much as I can. I try to run in the mornings and do weightless body workouts at night because team lose 10 pounds in August needs lots of Prayer.  I have added a strawberry, blueberry, and banana smoothie to my diet that I drink almost everyday and I have also increased my water intake since juice isn’t so fulfilling like it was years ago. August is just the calm before the storm. I have nothing planned but a quick trip to Maryland or Atlantic City to swim at least once before the end of the summer.

My favorite veggie dishes are:

Quinoa with brown rice – add sautéed onions, tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and parmesan cheese.

Broccoli and string beans- sautéed onions, garlic, olive oil and parmesan cheese.

Channa – Trinidad inspired curried chickpeas with potatoes.

Fry eggplant – seasoned bread crumbs, fry with olive oil, and eat with Marinara sauce or pasta with Marinara sauce.
