His dad had a list of names. None that I originally agreed with but one day he asked, “ how about Grayson? “ Immediately I accepted. His dad was adamant about the initial thing, and he should have my first initial for his middle name, sure. So we named him Grayson Alexander. It sounds soooo strong. Little did we know, we would watch our guy fight through his first 48 days of life in a hospital.
48 long days in the NICU.

The journey through the NICU wasn’t close to our plans but God knew what I could handle when I delivered this 2lb 3oz baby 10 weeks early. I’m still amazed to say “I gave birth”.
It’s been 15 weeks with this little person I get to call my son. He’s sweet overall. Cranky for food or sleep these days but pleasant otherwise. He likes music and Vocabularry. His smile lights up my mornings and in moments just thinking of him. I now understand when some say they can’t remember life before children. Children remind you of the simplicity of living and learning.

Excited for this journey. Welcome to the world little one.
Xx, Mommy

The headline scared me so much. As mom myself I was hoping it wasn’t what I thought. Congratulations on your new bundle. I too had complications both times. It’s tough to go through watching your baby fight down such a wobbling road. But I’m sure you knew he was a strong fighter anyway. Please enjoy every moment. It goes soooo fast.
